This resource was developed from the findings of the Trans Pregnancy Care Project, research undertaken in Aotearoa New Zealand to build perinatal system capability for trans inclusion. The Warming the Whare guideline uniquely centers takatāpui (Māori with diverse SOGIESC) knowledge and adopts an intersectional approach to promoting trans inclusion in perinatal care based on Te Whare Takatāpui.
